Cone Health has Entered into a Definitive Agreement to Join Risant Health
CHICAGO – June 27TH, 2024 – Cone Health (“Cone”), a nonprofit health care network based in North Carolina, has entered into a definitive agreement to become part of Risant Health (“Risant”), a nonprofit, charitable organization created by Kaiser Foundation Hospitals to bring together like-minded organizations and increase access to value-based care and coverage. Cone will be the second health system to become part of Risant upon receipt of regulatory approvals.
Cone and Risant will work together to share industry-leading expertise and innovation to expand access to value-based care in the communities they serve. Cone will operate independently as a regional and community-based health system, serving and meeting the needs of its communities while gaining expertise, resources, and support through Risant’s value-based platform.
