Texas Health System Consolidates Financial Planning and Analytics Functions on Unified Platform for Strategic Decision-Making

Skokie, IL, January 14, 2016 Kaufman Hall, a leading provider of strategic, capital and financial advisory services and software tools to healthcare organizations, today announced that Parkland Health & Hospital System (Parkland), one of the largest public hospital systems in the country, has expanded its relationship with the company. Parkland has upgraded to Kaufman Hall’s enhanced financial management software platform, and recently added solutions for cost accounting and capital planning.

A customer since 2002, Parkland has used Kaufman Hall’s software for strategic financial planning and will now utilize the company’s full integration capabilities. This functionality will consolidate all of its financial planning and analytics efforts on a single platform for integrated performance management.

Kaufman Hall’s cost accounting and capital planning solutions allows finance professionals to analyze data, model the future and optimize organizational decision-making. The company’s cost accounting solution provides the framework to perform accurate patient-level costing, while the capital planning solution provides financial modeling tools to help organizations decipher which requests for capital warrant funding and provide the strongest business benefits.

“A disciplined approach to cost accounting and capital planning has become mission-critical in healthcare,” said James Bodan, Executive VP of Kaufman Hall’s Healthcare Software Division. “In today’s value-based world, full visibility into financial and clinical data, as well as both near-term organizational needs and longer-term strategic objectives, is a critical success factor.”
