Aman is a Managing Principal in Vizient’s Performance Improvement Consulting practice. He has over 20 years of healthcare experience and is a board-certified internal medicine hospitalist. His areas of expertise include optimizing clinical value analysis programs, hospitalist programs (and other physician practices), care coordination services, clinical documentation improvement services, clinical quality and utilization and hospital and health system transformational consulting services.
Prior to joining Vizient, Aman served as the chief utilization officer and corporate medical director at the Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida, where he implemented process improvement around the appropriate utilization of health care resources. Before this role, Aman started and operated the first hospitalist group at Jackson Health System.
Aman serves as the clinical assistant professor of medicine at Florida International University’s College of Medicine and as an assistant professor of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. He earned a doctorate in medicine from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Master of Health Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
