Lani has over 27 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She's served in various consulting leadership roles overseeing clinical, analytics and gainsharing practices and currently serves as a leader in Kaufman Hall's Revenue and Operations Improvement practice.
During her tenure at Kaufman Hall, Lani has led numerous teams that worked with health systems to implement large-scale clinical, financial and operational improvement opportunities, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars in financial value and enhanced quality performance. A few highlights include $100 million at a southeastern health system that reached a guarantee 18 months ahead of plan and over $80 million at a major academic medical center system in the Midwest. Lani has also designed contemporary, clinically integrated supply chain models aligned with health system strategies. She currently oversees a strategic partnership with a 24-hospital system focused on improving performance across the national quality scorecards while achieving financial transformation of over $230 million.
Before joining Vizient, Lani spent seven years with Goodroe Healthcare Solutions, where she was instrumental in securing favorable gainsharing advisory opinions from the office of the inspector general. She also worked for Teva Pharmaceutical and Hewitt Associates. Lani has been published in numerous well-known healthcare journals and presented at over 100 national conferences.
Lani earned her MBA and master's degree in public health from Emory University. She also holds a bachelor's degree in finance with a minor in Spanish from the University of Illinois.
