Kaufman Hall Names Four Top Performers to Managing Director

Milestone achievement recognizes the commitment and passion for excellence each brings to their clients and co-workers

CHICAGO February 11, 2020 Kaufman Hall, a leading provider of enterprise performance management (EPM) software, data, and management consulting services, announced today that valued team members Kristofer Blohm, Nora Kelly, Jeff Kilpatrick, and Courtney Midanek have been promoted to managing director within the organization.

Kris Blohm has two decades of strategic and corporate finance advisory experience across multiple healthcare sectors counseling executives and boards across the country on a broad range of transaction alternatives.  His expertise includes mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments and other partnership and affiliation structures with a focus on physician groups, post-acute, as well as hospitals and health systems. Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Blohm held various roles in both healthcare investment banking and private equity, most recently as executive director at Stifel. Mr. Blohm holds an M.A. in accounting and B.S.M. in finance from Tulane University.

With nearly 20 years of finance experience, primarily servicing healthcare organizations, Nora Kelly will now serve her clients as managing director in the firm’s strategic financial planning and partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions practices. She advises healthcare organizations in mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, financial planning, and debt-related financial advisory and has particular expertise in physician partnerships and strategy. Before joining Kaufman Hall, Ms. Kelly worked for a middle-market private equity firm where she sourced, structured, and monitored equity investments for healthcare clients across a range of service lines. She holds an M.B.A. in finance from Columbia University.

Jeff Kilpatrick also has assumed the duties of managing director, strategic financial planning. Mr. Kilpatrick offers his clients the insight from multiple hospital executive roles and as an advisor to healthcare leaders nationwide.  His expertise includes working with systems to clarify system objectives and identify capabilities gaps.  He then helps systems create plans to develop or partner to position the organization.  Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, he held executive leadership roles for Loyola University Medical Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Kilpatrick holds M.B.A. and Master of Public Policy degrees from the University of Michigan.

A valued voice with healthcare organizations across the nation, Courtney Midanek has been elevated to the position of managing director of partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions. She offers her clients more than 20 years of expertise in capital markets, mergers & acquisitions and partnerships. Ms. Midanek works with a variety of health systems and other health care service organizations and has worked extensively on laboratory services partnerships. Before coming to Kaufman Hall, Ms. Midanek served in multiple investment banking roles, as well as time in the managed care space. She holds an M.B.A. with concentrations in finance, management, and strategy from Northwestern University.
