With COVID-19 continuing to cause significant disruption for the healthcare industry, it is critically important to continue taking the pulse of the pandemic’s effects across the continuum of care. The second issue of this new quarterly Physician Flash Report report provides insights on how physician groups are faring in these turbulent times.
The report features national data sampled from Axiom Comparative Analytics from Syntellis Performance Solutions, which contains data on more than 68,000 physicians and 28,000 advanced practice providers from more than 100 specialties. Data are updated into the tool monthly, and include the same actual, real-time physician productivity, compensation, and operating expense data that physician groups use to track their own operations and finances.
Many physician practices have reported decreases in patient visits and a slowing of hospital diagnostic services and procedural volumes over the last several months. These declines likely will continue through the first half of 2021. Data in the Physician Flash Report span measures of:
