John Bauerlein is a Senior Vice President with Kaufman Hall’s Revenue and Operations Improvement (ROI) team. His responsibilities include corporate shared services, results and program management, and evaluation and preparation of partnership efficiency opportunities for hospitals and health systems nationwide. Mr. Bauerlein’s experience includes cross-functional and departmental project management, improvement assessment analyses, implementation of operational improvement initiatives, design and application of key performance indicators and financial targets, strategic partnership assessments, expansion and rationalization planning, and product and service line performance analyses.
Mr. Bauerlein has more than 25 years of financial advisory experience. Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, he managed his own advisory practice. Earlier in his career Mr. Bauerlein held various positions involving the management of financial, capital, partnership, improvement and investment strategies with Morgan Stanley, Frontenac Company, and The Duchossois Group.
Mr. Bauerlein earned his M.B.A. with honors, concentrating in Finance, from Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Arizona. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
