Charles Stafford

Charles (Chuck) Stafford is a Senior Vice President at Kaufman Hall and a member of the firm’s Treasury and Capital Markets practice. He advises not-for-profit hospitals and health systems nationwide, focusing primarily on tax-exempt and taxable bond financings, capital structure management, and credit positioning.

Chuck has three decades of investment banking experience in the healthcare, higher education, and housing sectors. He has also worked with not-for-profit hospitals across the country in providing services to improve their operational/financial performance.

Chuck most recently served as a Managing Director at Ponder & Co. for the Capital Advisory Group, serving as financial advisor to a variety of healthcare clients, primarily acute care hospitals and health systems nationwide.

Chuck holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Economics with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; he is a registered Municipal Advisor (Series 50).
