Kaufman Hall advises Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System on Acquisition

SKOKIE, Ill. October 16, 2018 - Community Health Systems, Inc. announced on October 11, 2018 that subsidiaries of the Company have signed a definitive agreement to sell the two-hospital Mary Black Health System and related businesses, including physician clinic operations and outpatient services, to Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System (SRHS) in Spartanburg, S.C.

Kaufman Hall is serving as the exclusive advisor to SRHS in the acquisition process.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
